The Firefox Profile Manager
The
Firefox Profile Manager comes with all Firefox browsers by default, it
is just a matter of accessing the useful app. Assuming you are using a
Windows based operating system, first close all open Firefox browsers
and tools. They must all be off before continuing. Next open your
"Start" menu in the bottom left hand corner of your screen, and choose
the option "Run." If it is not listed then you can do a keyboard
shortcut of the button with a windows logo on it (located between Ctrl
and Alt) and then pressing the R key at the same time. A Run box will
open. In the run box, type "firefox.exe -profilemanager" and hit enter.
This will bring up the Profile Manager.
The Profile manager only has a few options, including Create New Profile, Rename Profile, and Delete Profile. You can ignore the other options for now. Create a new profile, and when you are finished close the manager.
More info can be found at:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles
Now you've got two or more profiles, but how configure them?
On your desktop you should have one icon for your Firefox. If not then drag-and-drop it from your start menu. Right-click the icon, and choose Create Shortcut. Now you should have two copies of your Mozilla icon. (To make this easier you could rename them to the name of your profile so you know which is running what.) Right click the first icon, and choose "Properties" at the bottom of the list. This will bring up a screen with a few text boxes, the only one you should pay attention to is "Target" located directly under "Target Location." The writable input field to the right of "Target" will contain some commands similar to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe." To edit this icon so that it open a specific profile by default, you must enter this command after what is already written, "-P PROFILENAMEGOESHERE -no-remote" . So if your profile is named "H3mpsDummyAccount" in the Profile Manager, then my Target code would look like this "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P H3mpsDummyAccount -no-remote" . Save this file, and repeat the proccess with the other icon, using the other profiles name.

Disable Firefox Auto Update
Usually I
don't recommend you update your browser if everything works well,
because sometimes the scripts is not compatible with the newer version
of browser.
So how to disable auto-update?
